anything i want...within reason of course.

Well, my time as blogger has finally come and it just happens to be the day I didn't have a camera on me! but thanks to Daniel we have some pictures.

Alright, first off we woke up around 6 or 6:30 and worship was at 7. I haven't breakfast like once this whole trip, but I'm still alive. So we hopped on the metro and zipped over to the Library of Congress. When I walked up to the front I was pretty stoked. The outside of the building is pretty fancy. When you walk inside though, now that is really awesome, and as Daniel so delicately put it “in fact it was so fancy that it made me think that everyone back then was making bank and building, like mansions everywhere”. The ceiling is like a million feet tall and everything looks like it could jump right off the wall and eat you. Even the floor was all prettied up. I saw the Gutenberg Bible and other assorted Bibles. I thought I was going to be able to actually go inside the library part of the library, and not just the front… but I was wrong. So after we left the library we meandered on over to the cannon building and some very nice people work there and we got a somewhat guided tour of the Emancipation Hall and the Senate Vestibule… and all over the capitol. There is a whole lot that could be said, but that won’t because Mr. Anderson’s keyboard isn’t suiting my hands very well. After we watched a few short clips and walked around for about 2 or 3 hours, everyone was hungry, so it was up some stairs into a strange Subway. I asked the lady to put “light” mustered on and she put on twice as much as normal. Jake bought my sandwich for me “thanks man” because I forgot my wallet. We then headed over to the Holocaust memorial and that left a big impression on me. We then went to the Jefferson memorial. It was fairly plain compared to the capitol but it was still way cool. I really like the Grecian style of architecture. Then to put the icing on the cake, we went to a really snazzy restaurant and I was stuffed. Yeah crazy day!
